Blogging Tips For Beginners
ways to describe natural posting Blogging Tips For Beginners 0 sun shiny good conversationsThere are many great Blogging Tips For Beginners out there. Whether it be to check out word press, blogger, my space or YouTube there are a lot of options out there. Ultimately it helps to blog with a purpose. I am talking about having something to promote like a domain which ultimately comes down to web hosting purchasing. There are many web hosting companies out there. Many of them are wordpress compatible. Basically once one has the hosting the wordpress is there to stick on the sql databases along with other great scripts like drupal, pligg and whatever else the host company offers. Many host companies ultimately in the need to maximize profit will offer services that are not satisfactory while others are easy and excellent. Many new bloggers want the wordpress.org hosted wordpress but can not afford the hosting. The key is during low hosting sale times check out the sites and often hosting has ridiculous deals. For example I got a site up for a year with a domain and many scripts unlimited everything for around 7 bucks from a hosting company that is usually 160 dollars a year. All hosting companies swing these great deals occasionally so it pays to drop by daily. My rule of thumb is that if the website does not go immediately up after credit card charge, the navigation is confusing and takes forever and the people are fools on the phone than the web hosting is garbage. Look out for the fine lines of web hosting like the presence of many mysql databases, the scripts that you need and want, etc. If the hosting out of the box annoys you then refund it immediately because the scam web host companies hit people bad in the beginning and worse later. Beginners generally go with budget hosting that averages 7 dollars a month though some go with high quality 20 a month hosting and put many domains on the server and move them out when the traffic increases. Domains can be moved around and if not you can always link out and continue the project on another host. Many hosts charge money for moving domains and stuff off of the label. Another hosting scam encountered by beginner bloggers is the presence of unlimited disc space which has little to do with how much traffic the website can take. Not even band width or anything else determines the quality of the hosting. The unlimited phrase does not mean unlimited but rather unknown and many times hosts with known specs are much better. I have my favorite hosts but I will not mention them for fear of law suits and comments from hosting companies posing as fake people saying how great they are. Another thing is that all web hosting review sites are not good. They are affiliate driven and always name the top host the one that pays them the most. I have very rarely seen google get a regular honest hosting review into the front page because the marketers are very good with their key words and links and stuff so the money people always win. The worsts hosts are the ones that everyone uses because the companies just have good pr and nothing more. If you are confused with hosting stick to blogger get a domain for it perhaps but just build the site and leverage blogger and other online social media then transfer your friends over to your new sites when you make the correct choice. Lets not be mistaken top blogs are up on blogger as well but hosting offers some easy extensibility on open source software that has some pros that professional sites can be easier made on them though blogger is free, easy and the script updates that hit alot are not really an issue. Some people do not want to keep up with the wordpress script updates and are not that serious so they stay on blogger and do great. Lets not forget that blogger is a great place to market from. Blogger is extensible and the hacks and tricks and tips are wide spread on the net. Perhaps blogger does promote google but if you have a web host people can look that up so you are promoting the host as well. You could self host by getting the stack or hacking into computer and mobile devices and even regester your own domain saving tons of money but this is a bit more complicated though not impossible. Many people just pay the host because of the easy control panes and programming already set up and ready for action. Also even though hosts make a lot of money off of people usually a successful blog can gain residual income from advertising that will cover the hosting bills. In order to achieve this is pays to create a site around a specific subject so search engines, and people in social media can make sense of it all. If your site is confusing it could turn off potentially the people who tell other people about it and create the traffic rush. An example is that a really bad site on a specific topic will generate much more traffic than a site that covers many unrelated topics. This is not to say that they can not work but the path of the least resistance is to find a blog niche instead of being uncategorized because key words help people make sense of the Internet much like street signs help people make sense of the roads that they drive on. Blogs are a part of this online super highway and people who understand that can exploit traffic by giving people something they need and will have reason to come back again and again to the blog. Blogs must also have a firm sense of community whether it be forums, comments, job boards, classifieds, directories or anything else that is interactive and helpful. Bloggers must also be real and have a purpose. Many of the most successful bloggers even leave contact information and pictures on their site to exploit the power of people to people interaction which ultimately blogging is like modern day telephones but we all know it is good to visit the friends we chat with.
